About Claw Arbs
Claw Arbs is arbitrage detection and execution software. It is a tool, not a gambling operator. We do not hold customer funds, accept bets, or run markets of our own. Claw Arbs connects to third-party prediction markets and sportsbooks that you control directly, using your own accounts and your own capital.
That said, arbitrage and value betting happen on platforms that are regulated as gambling or trading venues in most jurisdictions. The activity can become compulsive, even when the underlying strategy is designed to reduce variance. This page exists so that every Claw Arbs user has the resources they need to recognise problem gambling and seek help.
Age Restriction
Claw Arbs is intended strictly for users who are 18 years of age or older, or the legal age for gambling and trading in their jurisdiction, whichever is higher. Some US states, Canadian provinces, and other regions set the minimum age at 19 or 21. It is your responsibility to confirm the age limit that applies to you before using any integrated platform.
Know the Risks
Arbitrage is not risk-free. Even carefully hedged positions can lose money due to:
- Line movement: prices shift between leg one and leg two, creating a "naked" position
- Rejected or partial fills: one side fills while the other cancels, leaving you exposed
- Account limits: sharp sportsbooks may restrict or close your account at any time
- Settlement disputes: venues may void or regrade markets after the fact
- Software and connectivity issues: bugs, outages, and API errors can cause unintended trades
Only bet with money you can afford to lose. Never borrow to fund a trading bankroll, and never treat arbitrage income as guaranteed.
Signs of Problem Gambling
Gambling is a problem when it begins to cause harm, regardless of whether you are winning or losing. Warning signs include:
- Betting more than you intended or can afford
- Chasing losses with larger stakes
- Lying to family, friends, or yourself about how much you gamble
- Neglecting work, relationships, sleep, or health because of betting
- Feeling anxious, irritable, or depressed when you are not trading
- Borrowing money or selling possessions to keep playing
- Unsuccessful attempts to cut back or stop
If any of these apply to you or someone close to you, please reach out to one of the resources below.
Tips for Staying in Control
- Set a budget before you start. Decide on a bankroll you are willing to lose and do not add to it mid-session
- Set a time limit. Arbitrage can be monotonous and hours can disappear quickly. Schedule breaks
- Track every bet. Use the Claw Arbs journal or a spreadsheet. Honest accounting is the single best defence against denial
- Never chase losses. If a match turns naked, close it, log it, and move on
- Keep gambling money separate. Do not mix your bankroll with rent, bills, or savings
- Take regular breaks. Step away from screens for at least one day each week
- Talk to someone you trust. Isolation makes problem gambling worse
Self-Exclusion
If you need to stop gambling, self-exclusion lets you block yourself from betting platforms for a set period. Most regulated venues are required to offer this, including:
- US: Voluntary self-exclusion programs run by each state gaming commission. The NCPG self-exclusion directory lists state-by-state options
- UK: GAMSTOP blocks you from all UK-licensed gambling sites and apps for six months, one year, or five years
- EU: Most national regulators run self-exclusion registers. Gambling Therapy can point you to the one in your country
- Device-level blocks: Tools like Gamban and BetBlocker block gambling websites and apps across all your devices
If you self-exclude, you should also uninstall Claw Arbs and revoke any API keys connected to betting or prediction market platforms.
